The Toyota Sequoia nameplate is renowned for cavernous accommodations, outstanding utility, rugged capability, and long-lasting reliability. It's a formula that carried the second-gen Sequoia far in its extended run. Toyota's "if it's not broken…" approach is a big reason why its vehicles are known for dependable longevity. Even so, 14 years is a long time for a single generation, and some were beginning to wonder if a new-gen Sequoia would ever come. And now, we finally have an answer.

Toyota is gearing up to launch the all-new 2023 Sequoia this Summer 2022. While we don't have all the specifics, like standard features and trim level details, there's certainly enough information to get excited about. And when it finally does launch, we'll be happy to give you a tour here at Firelands Toyota in Sandusky. Until then, here are a few of the 2023 Sequoia attributes that caught our eye.

  • Design: The all-new Sequoia looks incredible, with its bold front fascia, muscular stance, and a refined yet rugged overall aesthetic. The capacious interior provides plush accommodations, ample passenger space, versatile cargo capacity, attractive design details, and a wealth of desirable amenities.

  • Power and Capability: Toyota's all-new i-FORCE MAX 3.4-liter twin-turbo V-6 Hybrid Powertrain delivers an authoritative 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission. And thanks to its genuine body-on-frame design and standard RWD configuration, that's enough power to up to 9,000 pounds. For adventure seekers, the 2023 Sequoia will offer TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro trim levels.

  • Technology: The 2023 Sequoia features the all-new Toyota Audio Multimedia system with Intelligent Assistant advanced voice controls, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and an available 14-inch touchscreen.

  • Toyota Safety Sense 2.5: The 2023 Sequoia comes standard with an extensive array of advanced driver aids, including Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Lane Tracing Assist. The base trim even equips a 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor and a 12.3-inch digital instrument display—features often reserved for higher tiers.
