Standard Toyota Grand Highlander models come with a turbocharged four-cylinder, 2.4-liter engines, an automatic eight-speed transmission, and four-wheel drive to deliver 265 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Standard drivetrains also have terrain selections, including Dirt, Mud, Rock, Sand, and Snow options. Adding the appropriate tow package allows this SUV to pull up to 5,000 pounds.
The mild hybrid Toyota Grand Highlander models combine a standard four-cylinder engine with a rear-mounted electric motor, a battery, an automatic continuously variable transmission, and all-wheel drive to achieve 245 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. This SUV is capable of towing up to 3,500 pounds.
The MAX hybrid models have a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine, an electric motor, a battery, an automatic six-speed transmission, and all-wheel drive to put out 362 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. In addition to accelerating to 60 miles per hour in 6.1 seconds, this SUV can haul up to 5,000 pounds.
The Toyota Grand Highlander comes with several high-level technology features to keep you connected on the road. Entry-level Toyota Grand Highlander vehicles enable owners to unlock the doors without a key. Passengers in the front and back seats can enjoy a comfortable ride year-round with the automatic climate control system that regulates three zones.
