The Toyota Sequoia is always at its best when conditions are harsh. Performance

Every trim level of the Toyota Sequoia is equipped with a 3.4L V6 hybrid engine that boasts an impressive 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque. The standard drivetrain features a rear-wheel drive system with an automatic limited-slip differential and a 10-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with sequential shift mode and uphill/downhill shift logic. Still, all-wheel drive is also available on most trims. Altogether, you can expect the Toyota Sequoia to deliver exceptional power, handling, and control even in harsh road conditions. According to EPA estimates, the Toyota Sequoia can achieve a combined fuel economy of 22 mpg between city and highway, although this drops to 20 mpg on all-wheel-drive models. Interior

The interior of the Toyota Sequoia features a leather-wrapped shift knob, power tilt/slide moonroof, three-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and eight-way power-adjustable driver and front passenger seats with lumbar support. Fabric seating comes standard on the SR5 trim, but SofTex-trimmed seating is also available for purchase, while leather trimming is standard on the Platinum. The Capstone is the only trim that features semi-aniline leather seating. Other optional features include aluminum sports pedals, a heated steering wheel, and auto-dimming rearview mirrors. The Toyota Sequoia has a maximum cargo capacity of 22.3 cubic feet behind the third-row seats, but this can be expanded to 86.9 cubic feet with the back two rows folded down.

Exterior

This new Toyota SUV comes standard with LED headlights and taillights, LED fog lights, acoustic laminated windshield, heated power side mirrors, black grille and chrome surround, and 18-inch silver-painted alloy wheels. Larger 20-inch and 22-inch wheels are also available on certain trims. Eight color schemes are standard out of the gate, including white, midnight black metallic, supersonic red, blue, orange, and shades of gray. The TRD Pro trim has unique badging and wheels that can't be found anywhere else.

Safety

The Toyota Sequoia is packed with standard safety features, including a pre-collision detection system, dynamic radar cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, LED daytime running lights, road sign assist, automatic emergency braking, front, and rear parking assist, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and trailer merge warning. In the event of an accident, eight airbags are deployed throughout the vehicle to keep you safe from harm.

Technology

The Toyota Sequoia features a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument meter and an eight-inch multimedia touchscreen display with an eight-speaker audio system, USB ports, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. For an even more immersive experience, a larger 14-inch multimedia display is optional on the SR5 trim and standard on the other advanced trims. A 14-speaker JBL sound system with subwoofer and amplifiers is standard starting on the Platinum trim and optional on the SR5 and Limited.
